The Saudi Pro League scores more than it used to, and it draws less than any league we counted. Only 20% of matches in our data finished level, and four scores, 1-0, 2-1, 1-1 and 1-2, are almost tied as the commonest. For correct score, that means a league where the safe default doesn’t exist.
The table below lists Saudi fixtures with a predicted score. The predictions come from an outside provider and we show them as published. The notes use 267 matches from the 2024/25 season in our data, plus the league’s five-season goal totals, to show how Saudi scores behave.

How a correct score bet works
The bet wins only if the match ends exactly as you named it after 90 minutes plus added time. Extra time and penalties don’t count in most bookmakers’ rules. Own goals count for the team credited with them, and an abandoned or postponed match is normally void. Check the rules where you bet.
The scores in the Pro League
| Score | Share of matches (2024/25) |
|---|---|
| 1-0 | 9.4% |
| 2-1 | 9.4% |
| 1-1 | 9.0% |
| 1-2 | 9.0% |
| 0-1 | 7.1% |
| 2-0 | 6.7% |
| 0-2 | 6.7% |
| 2-2 | 6.0% |
No score reaches 10%, and the top four are within half a point of each other. The top five cover 44% of matches, and we found 30 different final scores. Goals averaged 2.91 a match. Over 2.5 landed in 57% of matches, and both teams scored in 56%.
A goalless draw was only 4.1% of matches. And a draw of any kind was 20.2%, against 26% across the European leagues we counted. That matters for correct score, because 1-1 only covers 9% of Saudi matches, compared with 12% in Europe’s average league.
This is one season of 267 matches, up to about round 30 of 34, so the figures are a guide and not a long-term rate.
Home and away
Home sides won 43% of matches and away sides 37%. That’s a small gap, six points, and it’s one of the narrowest home edges we found. Home sides averaged 1.55 goals and visitors 1.36.
The home side was scoreless in 23% of matches and the away side in 26%. A home win by two or more goals was 21% of matches, and an away win by two or more was 17%, so away wins are nearly as likely to be comfortable as home wins. A predicted 0-2 is not an unusual score in Saudi football, at 6.7%, as common as 2-0.
Five seasons of goals
| Season | Goals per match | Champions |
|---|---|---|
| 2021/22 | 2.65 | Al-Hilal |
| 2022/23 | 2.70 | Al-Ittihad |
| 2023/24 | 2.97 | Al-Hilal |
| 2024/25 | 2.92 | Al-Ittihad |
| 2025/26 | 3.01 | Al-Nassr |
Goals per match rose from 2.65 to 3.01 over five seasons, a gain of more than a third of a goal. The rise started in 2023/24, the first season after a wave of high-profile signings, and it hasn’t reversed. In 2023/24 Cristiano Ronaldo scored 35 league goals, and Al-Hilal went through the season unbeaten in 34 matches.
In our 2024/25 data, after 29 rounds Al Ittihad led the table on 68 points, with Al Hilal on 62 and Al Nassr on 60.
The top three in 2024/25
These are each club’s own results over 29 matches, so they’re a small sample:
| Club | Won / drew / lost | Goals for / against | Clean sheets | Commonest scores (club first) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Al Ittihad | 21 / 5 / 3 | 2.28 / 1.03 | 24% | 2-1 (21%), 4-1 and 1-1 (14% each) |
| Al Hilal | 19 / 5 / 5 | 2.72 / 1.17 | 34% | 3-0 (14%), 2-0 and 1-1 (10% each) |
| Al Nassr | 18 / 6 / 5 | 2.14 / 1.14 | 24% | 3-1 (17%), 1-1 and 1-2 (14% each) |
Al Hilal scored the most of the three, at 2.72 a game, and kept the most clean sheets. Al Ittihad won most often and their commonest result was a 2-1. Al Nassr let in 1.14 goals a game, and 1-2 was one of their commonest scores, which shows how often a top club loses in this league.
With only 29 matches each, one or two results can change those percentages, so use them as a feel for each club’s style and not as a rate.
Five rules we follow
- Don’t default to one score. Four are almost level at 9%.
- Respect the away win. 37% of matches, and away wins by two or more are 17%.
- Lean to goals. Both teams scored in 56%.
- Don’t rely on a draw. Only 20% of matches ended level.
- Keep stakes small. Even the commonest scores are 9.4%.
Common mistakes
The commonest mistake is assuming 1-1 is the default. In the Saudi Pro League it’s only 9%, third equal.
Another is treating a home win as a given. Home sides won 43% and away sides 37%.
The third is using old goals totals. The league averaged 2.65 goals in 2021/22 and about 3.0 in 2025/26, so an older figure understates the scoring.
Reading a Saudi row
If the table gives 1-0 or 2-1, you’re on the two joint commonest scores. A predicted 1-2 or 0-1 is a fair away pick, and not an unusual one. A predicted 1-1 is third equal and a predicted 0-0 is unusual, at 4%. If the table gives a high-scoring result such as 3-2 or 4-1, remember that over 3.5 landed in 33% of matches.
